Intelligent Climate Control with Control4
In this Muskoka project, we integrated multiple Bromic Platinum Smart-Heat™ electric heaters into the Control4 system using 0-10V dimming modules. This allowed for granular temperature control—not just turning heaters on or off, but dimming the heat output smoothly and remotely based on ambient conditions, time of day, or preset scenes.
Whether it’s “Evening Cocktails on the Deck” or “Morning Yoga by the Lake,” our client can now trigger custom heating zones with a single button press on a Control4 touchscreen, remote, or mobile app.
How It Works
The Bromic heaters themselves are compatible with 0-10V dimming input, which makes them perfect candidates for integration with Control4’s Essential Lighting Dimmer Modules or Centralized 0-10V control modules. Here’s what we implemented:
- Low-voltage wiring to route dimming signals from the Control4 panel to each heater
- Configuration of custom scenes and schedules in Composer Pro
- Linking heaters with other systems—like lighting, audio, and motorized shades—for unified outdoor control
The Result
The client now enjoys a fully automated luxury retreat with intelligent heating control that responds to their lifestyle, not the other way around. The integration is clean, reliable, and designed for long-term performance in Muskoka’s diverse climate.
